Leke Leke Waterfall is one of Bali’s hidden gems, located in Antapan Village, Tabanan Regency, about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Ubud or Canggu. Surrounded by lush jungle and dramatic green cliffs, this waterfall is famous for its narrow, elegant cascade that flows down from a height of around 30 meters into a small natural pool below. Unlike larger, more powerful waterfalls, Leke Leke is admired for its graceful shape and photogenic setting.
The journey to Leke Leke is part of the experience. After purchasing your entrance ticket at the small local post, visitors walk down a scenic path for approximately 15–20 minutes. The trail includes bamboo bridges, small wooden stairs, and forest pathways, offering beautiful views of tropical vegetation along the way. The trek is relatively easy but can be slightly steep in some sections, so comfortable footwear is recommended.
As you approach the waterfall, the sound of flowing water grows louder, and the surrounding cliffs begin to narrow. The waterfall itself appears like a thin silver ribbon flowing through a tall green canyon. During the rainy season, the water flow becomes stronger and more dramatic, while in the dry season it remains clear and calm — perfect for photos and a refreshing dip.
One of the main reasons Leke Leke has become popular in recent years is its Instagram-worthy appearance. The tall narrow cascade framed by moss-covered rock walls creates a stunning natural backdrop. Visitors often stand on the rocks in front of the waterfall for iconic photos. Early morning visits are recommended for fewer crowds and softer lighting.
Swimming is possible in the shallow pool at the base, though visitors should always exercise caution as rocks can be slippery. The water is cool and refreshing, making it a pleasant stop during Bali’s warm days. The peaceful atmosphere and relatively smaller visitor numbers compared to other waterfalls make Leke Leke ideal for couples, solo travelers, and photographers.
Facilities at Leke Leke are simple but adequate, including parking areas, small local stalls selling drinks and snacks, and basic restrooms near the entrance. Because it is community-managed, visiting the waterfall also supports the local village economy.
